Fun T-Rex Facts to Share While Coloring
T-Rex coloring pages are a great way to talk about dinosaurs. Here are some simple facts kids love:
What Does T-Rex Mean? – The full name is Tyrannosaurus rex, which means “tyrant lizard king”.
When Did It Live? – T-Rex lived about 68 to 66 million years ago, at the very end of the age of dinosaurs, in what is now western North America.
How Big Was It? – The biggest T-Rex skeletons are about 12 meters (40 feet) long, longer than a school bus.
Tiny Arms, Big Teeth – Its arms were short with just two fingers each, but its mouth held around 60 thick, banana-sized teeth.
Found as Fossils – Everything we know about T-Rex comes from fossils. Scientists called paleontologists dig up the bones and put the skeletons together in museums.
