Winter: January and February

After the holidays, cold days are perfect for calm indoor coloring. In January, our snowman coloring pages and penguin coloring pages keep the winter theme going. In February, Valentine coloring pages and heart coloring pages are great for classroom Valentine’s parties on February 14 and for homemade cards for family and friends.

Spring: March, April and May

Spring brings bright colors back. For St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, our rainbow coloring pages are a cheerful match. Easter moves every year: it falls on a Sunday between March 22 and April 25, and in 2027 it is on March 28. Our Easter coloring pages have bunnies, eggs, chicks and egg hunts, and they fit nicely in Easter baskets. For Earth Day on April 22 and Mother’s Day in May, try flower coloring pages, butterfly coloring pages and bunny coloring pages.

Summer: June, July and August

Summer vacation means long days and road trips, so keep a folder of printed pages ready. Kids love ice cream coloring pages, shark coloring pages, fish coloring pages and turtle coloring pages for beach and pool days. For Father’s Day in June, monster truck coloring pages and football coloring pages make a fun card to give dad. In August, teachers can plan the first weeks of school with our guide to coloring pages in the classroom.

Fall: September and October

When the leaves turn orange and red, fall animals and forest scenes are a great choice. Try our fox coloring pages and mushroom coloring pages for cozy autumn afternoons. For Halloween on October 31, friendly black cats are always popular, and our cat coloring pages are not scary at all, which makes them a good fit for younger children.

Thanksgiving: November

Thanksgiving is on the fourth Thursday of November, and in 2026 it falls on November 26. Coloring is a calm activity for the kids’ table while the turkey is in the oven. Print our Thanksgiving coloring pages with cornucopias, pies and give-thanks messages, and our turkey coloring pages for younger children who love a big, simple turkey.

Christmas: December

December is the busiest coloring month of the year. Our Christmas tree coloring pages, Santa Claus coloring pages, reindeer coloring pages, gingerbread coloring pages and Christmas stocking coloring pages are perfect for school parties, an Advent countdown and the long days of winter break. For a quieter moment, our nativity coloring pages tell the Christmas story.

Birthdays and special days all year

Some moments are not on the calendar. For a birthday party, print our birthday coloring pages as a table activity or a take-home party favor. For sick days, long trips and rainy weekends, our full A–Z list of coloring pages has something for every child.

Tips for planning holiday coloring

  • Print early: print your pages one or two weeks before a holiday, when you are not in a rush.
  • Match the age: give toddlers easy pages with thick lines and older kids detailed scenes. Our coloring pages by age guide shows what fits each age.
  • Turn pages into gifts: colored pages make lovely cards, gift tags, placemats and wall decorations.
  • Use thicker paper for crafts: cardstock holds up better for cards and decorations. Our coloring supplies guide explains which paper and tools to use.
  • Make a holiday folder: keep finished pages from each year. They become a sweet record of how your child’s coloring grows.
